How to Watch Roland Garros 2026 in the US and UK
Roland Garros is back, and for once, tennis fans actually have options. Here's everything you need to know about catching the French Open from both sides of the Atlantic, plus how to watch the whole tournament for under $20.
The cheap-watching tip (US)
This is the one I'm using personally, and the math actually works out.
Step 1: Sign up for Hulu's 30-day free trial. This is for new and eligible returning subscribers, on the ad-supported plan (normally $11.99/month). Free for the first 30 days.
Step 2: Once you're in, add HBO Max as a Hulu add-on. $9.99/month for the ad-supported tier, or $18.49/month ad-free.
Step 3: Watch every match. Roland Garros runs late May into early June, so the 30-day Hulu window covers the entire tournament.
Step 4: Cancel before day 30 if you don't want to keep Hulu after the French Open ends.
Total damage: $9.99 for the tournament. $18.49 if you want it ad-free. Either way, under $20 for the full fortnight.
A few things to know:
The Hulu free trial is for new or eligible returning customers. If you had Hulu recently, you may not qualify on the same email.
HBO Max charges right away when you add it. The $9.99 (or $18.49) hits at signup, not after 30 days.
Streaming prices change. Confirm everything at hulu.com before signing up.
Watching Roland Garros in the US
TNT took over the US rights from Tennis Channel last year and changed the way tennis gets broadcast from home. The coverage is everywhere, and the studio shows are actually good.
Where to find it:
TNT
truTV
HBO Max
Bleacher Report on YouTube (live tennis on YouTube for the first time)
You get all-day coverage across the linear channels and HBO Max, with Bleacher Report adding a free YouTube layer that's a real first for tennis in the US.
The studio shows worth watching:
The Mac Zone with John McEnroe and Patrick McEnroe
Rally Recall with John Isner and Sam Querrey
The Blueprint with Venus Williams, coming in the second week
Live From Roland Garros the on-the-grounds studio show hosted by Adam Lefkoe with Chris Eubanks, Mark Petchey, and Coco Vandeweghe
If you're new to tennis or just don't want to commit eight hours a day to first-round coverage, these shows do the work of telling you what mattered and what you missed.
The social side:
House of Highlights is running match clips, fan questions, and more across socials. Even if you don't sit down for a single broadcast, you'll catch the big moments.
Watching Roland Garros in the UK
Same broadcaster name, different setup. In the UK, Roland Garros is on TNT Sports, but it's moved off the Discovery+ app and is now on HBO Max.
What you get with HBO Max in the UK:
Every match across the show courts and outside courts
Multi-view, so you can watch more than one match at once
Live notifications when your favourite players are on
The studio show:
Roland Garros 360 is hosted by Laura Robson, Rachael Stringer, and Craig Doyle, breaking down the biggest moments from the biggest matches daily.
On-site commentary and reporting:
Tim Henman, Jo Konta (who is genuinely one of the best in the booth right now), Boris Becker, and Caroline Wozniacki are all part of the UK coverage.
